Necessity is laid on us not only to outlive our fathers but do the very things they couldn't wait to do. It doesn't in any way make us "super" over them or the situation but as a matter of responsibility. And by the grace of God, we'll make it! Unless your righteousness has exceeded those of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law –your fathers, you can't get into the realities of your life.

We must surpass our parents, building on their "holy" foundations, breaking the status quo and winning the heart of God. After everything, the success and victory belong to the whole house. In it, God is prided and glorified. This makes more imperative that we're grafted into God. The old stock is discarded and God through His Christ becomes our new Stock. In Him we live, we move and have our being.
