CELEBRATING BIRTHDAYS

Birthday is one of the times God commanded all mankind to appear before Him but not barren.

You remember figuratively God had said, "Three times in a year you come before Me but not empty handed"? O yea, your birthday is one of those times!!

Others are:
2. The End/Beginning of the Year
3. When God gives Birth to real You

On these three occasions, no man, woman or child should come before God without a substance, some addition to their lives, something God Himself may eat.

"Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles: and they shall not appear before the LORD empty." Deut 16:16 KJV

Remember also, there is a man in every woman and a woman in every man. That, God always address. God's word is generic mostly, it directs to everyone, anyone, everywhere, anywhere, not just some male or female.

Sure you've read or heard this, "But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the SONS of God, even to them that believe on His name" - John 1:12!

The sons here is generic.

Now don't forget what happened the very day you were born - you cried while everyone else laughed. In a way, they loved your cry.

In some other way, they made jest of you, not considering your plight or whatever may be going on with you in the unknown places - heaven.

You know all of that, right?

How come remembering same day you laugh around with same people who made derision of your tears? How come recalling or marking the day you were born you're caught wining and dining with the enemies of your life?

For it is written, "A man's enemies shall be members of his own household", Matt 10:36.

Your birthday is too sacred for those elaborate things. It's a day meant for God and you alone. It's a solemn day to remembering why you are born, your purpose, the very reason you exist. It's a holi-day to bringing your life before God who makes you.

Know this, real birthday celebration takes a total of Seven days - Sunday to Sunday birthday within, appearing before God not empty handed or without fruit.

An example of empty handed life is that wicked servant who buried his one talent in the ground accusing his own master of wickedness who reaped where He's not sowed - Matt 25:24-30.

On those seven Holy Days, eat unleavened bread only. Eat God's word. Remember your day solemnly before God. Thereafter, you may celebrate with your neighbors, especially with those who don't know or remember to pay you back or even thank you for yesterday.
Luke 14:12-14

"Then said he also to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor thy rich neighbours; lest they also bid thee again, and a recompense be made thee. But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind: And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just."
