DAY 22 - ROB NOT THE POOR
Proverbs 22:22 • Audio 8.3mins, 2.8mb
Rob not the poor because he is poor, neither oppress the afflicted in the gate. AKJV
What do you see when you see people thronging, seeking a spot with you? When many, multitudes are trooping out, coming close to you, what particularly comes to your mind? What visions do you see when the poor approaches needing help? What and what do your eyes see the moment you sight the afflicted, perplexed at the gate? Our eye, what we see at those great lonely moments is what the Lord is addressing today! Stay tuned
The highest place in any city where decisions are made, sat with and finalized is the Gate, which also is the last hope of the common citizen. Why should oppression ever find a place therein? Why should the poor be made poorer by the virtue of their visit to the fortress, their only hope and last help? Should they be thought of as people to be robbed again or seen as ones too weak to live? All these and more concerns now come to forebear because somebody, an oversight is not seeing properly.
Lord Jesus our perfect example speaks in Matt 9:35-36, hear Him: "And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in the synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them because they fainted and were scattered abroad as sheep having no shepherd." Lord Jesus saw the multitudes and was moved with deep compassion to help them. Friend, what you see and feel at such times?
When the flock is as though there is no shepherd, it's quite an unfortunate thing because one, the flock will be scattered abroad or wandering about. Second, their trusted shepherds have lost sights, got them no vision, evil eye, nor any heart for them. They probably thought them as inanimate or something. So Lord Jesus in this passage provides that perfect heart and eyes toward the poor - to feel their feel, feeling their plights having compassion for their deary souls.
There's one more thing Lord Jesus speculates that I think you need to know about your sight and how you'd have it corrected, peradventure you're one shepherd or supervisor, superintendent or overseer, governor or senator, people wait on. It's here, in the audio. Get downloaded this mp3 acoustic recording to be updated.
I guarantee you the pool is here again and for the last time to make things clearly seen. God gives sight, the seeing eyes and hearing ears and He'll give you this restoration, in Jesus name. Till I come your way again tomorrow 23rd, bask in the Lord. I remain your Pastor-On-Street, PoS. God bless you this November!
