DAY 25 - NEWS FROM FAR COUNTRY

Proverbs 25:25 • Audio 8mins, 2.6mb
As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country. AKJV

It is called a far country not because it's far but that you are far from it - your source, home, country which makes the entire you. Bro, has God not become a far country to you, Deity you never wish to see again? Have you also fled like Jonah away from God's presence? What then are you doing where you are, in patched land, relaxing? Sis, have you for sake of meeting your deary needs now moved far from your own country to a place that forbids God where you can transact doing your black-market thing without the brethren spotting you? Have you friend, now loved those dark secreting things than places of light of the living God?

See, the reason you're thirsty and have been very thirsty is, you're out of coverage, away from Source, life, lurk down to a land not flowing with flowing with milk and honey. Becoming thirsty could be for many other reasons aside the fact that you're homesick and had not drank from the wells of Bethlehem of your life, one, because of the oppression of the enemy or two, that tears and cries have become your meat day and night. Three, because you're locked down at Jordan, a very close destination to your promised land.

All this and more, Psalms 42 with 43 which originally and formerly was one Psalm, had presented reasons and proffered as well the way out of the catastrophe. Yet, the crux of today's word is not in the reason(s) you're or could be thirsty or found far far from home in the city of Nod, at the Jordans of your life but, "WHAT ARE YOU THIRSTY FOR?" Definitely, we must become thirsty if we indeed live and move, but with what would you quench your thirst? What exactly is your soul thirsty for and how do you plan filling your thirst? With ice cold waters from heaven which comes by immense prayer or will you bend to drink from the "dirty" but flowing rivers of Jordan?

Note this: God could be testing you! He does that often. And never ever forget, each time God is testing His children the devil comes along with his hard-to-answer questions, he comes around to submit his own tempting scripts, papers and devices to see if any can ever pass. Yet know this all the more that God is faithful. And only those whose hearts are stayed, fixed on God will surmount the devil's numbered devices.

God tests to promote, whereas devil tempts to demote. The two aren't same. Deut 8:2 says, "And shalt remember all the way which the Lord thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness to humble and prove thee, to KNOW WHAT'S WAS IN THINE HEART, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments or no". So God could be testing you as He tested King Hezekiah...Oh you definitely need to hear this - how, why and what test the king had. Get this mp3 downloaded to hear it yourself. Below is the link, it's just 8mins, 2.6mb.

We shall meet again tomorrow November 26 by God's grace. I trust God to speak to you personally helping you through your difficult circumstances and most dreadful moments establishing His love for you, over and over again. And you will have a testimony. I say, you will become a testimony in Jesus name!

I remain PoS your Pastor-On-Street. God bless you!
