DAY 29 - THE BRUTE LIFE
Proverbs 30:2 • Audio 6.3mins, 2.1mb
Surely I am more brutish than any man and have not the understanding of a man. KJV
Living without understanding is completely insane. Such would fall severally and never rise. Even the reason for falling will be obscure to him. Nothing is more dangerous than falling without a reason. The Lord already said, that's the lot of wicked sinners - Proverbs 25:26, whereas the righteous will always rise peradventure he falls. The difference in their dispositions is this same understanding. Rising from a fall takes you to know why and why it should not happen again, not cheaply.
Foolishness actually is having knowledge maybe by rote or memorizing but with no understanding of how and where to apply it. For instance, Daniel highly esteemed of God learned magics and alchemy with good doses of arithmetics and linguistics while going through their Three years Babylonian training course, together with Shadrach Meshach and Abednego. But Daniel understood why practicing magics would be very wrong for a child of God. If he had he'd have lost the honourable post of the Chief magician bestowed on him.
Gaining an understanding of your good times and bad sets you at 60% safer and above others that are kept in the dark with no whereabouts of their lives. Doctors try to understand illnesses, sicknesses and diseases through tests and clinical examinations not to use wrong medications, which could be worse than being sick. Now the book of Ecclesiastes 3:19-21 say, humans are not better than animals because both end alike in the dust and nothing more happens. That's what life looks like if you gain no understanding above the common wisdom you're pursuing.
There's more to this subject of understanding my friend, I implore you to download its recording below for a listen. It's a six-minute cross examination, particularly for fuller observation. Till we meet again tomorrow November 30 when I shall be examining Proverbs 30:33, stay focused, stay blessed.
