DAY 30 - VIRGIN'S OIL

Proverbs 30:33 • Audio 9mins, 3mb
Surely the churning of milk bringeth forth butter and the wringing of the nose bringeth forth blood, so the forcing of wrath bringeth forth strife. AKJV

The title of this final note may seem unrelated but not unconnected. The parable told by the Lord in Matt 25:1-13 presented us the Ten virgins preparing to meet the Bridegroom. As it's been said, everyone proves to be a virgin until he's tested by time. It happened that ever before these virgins were put to their final examination the Lord declared five to the wise, five foolish. This should strike a chord in our hearts that, life itself is 50:50 - you can become anything you wish and each of us has full rights and autonomy over the choices we make and what we become.

Our lives, this very life we live, is not dependent on anyone else than ourselves. We only get back in multifold the amount of time, effort and etcetera we input. These virgins all had equal chances to be great and named by the Lord by entering to meet the Bridegroom but that was dependent on how they handled it. Life itself is under probability and full of risks. Also, time has been allotted to every matter whereby we can boom. Some keep their lives from taking necessary risks, then lose it while others risk losing their lives but end having it in abundance.

The second thing about these virgins is, it seemed they've been tested before that final exam papers - to wait for the Bridegroom, their capacity to wait was under question. So on the final day, they performed exactly same as during their trials. The foolish ones actually hated to wait for any and every reason whereas, God only knows His own bonafide children by waiting. Meanwhile, the oil, power and anointing each us need to scale through life, huddle through destiny is kept safely within us. External purchase and application of oils may work, maybe not for the carrier but its possessor.

The Oils for one's life journey has to be wrung from within his soul, if not, other oils applied is harmful. This was why the wise virgins answered in verse nine, probably in derision, "Go to the black-marketers, your always only hope and buy some for yourselves." While the wise virgins had spent time waiting on the Lord, churning up their spirit, wringing their lives, digging up their lives and mustering strength for tomorrow, the foolish ones were frivolous and flippant. They said to themselves, "life is not that hard - somebody somewhere will help them if they begged." By and by, they lost their essence.

Now, there's more to this subject that demarcates the wise virgins from the foolish ones. You'll need to download this audio below for the fill. It's shortly 9mins, approximately 3mb. And just before BlackGospel 2023 is concluded, I'd like to tell you that Proverbs 31 won't be left out. It'll be the Evening Sacrifice, my Thanksgiving for this glorious initiative. I trust the Lord that we'll see again today in the evening about the close of the day.
