There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, and it is common among men: A man to whom God has given riches and wealth and honor, so that he lacks nothing for himself of all he desires; yet God does not give him power to eat of it, but a foreigner consumes it. God who won't leave us without a witness that man may learn to consciously live in fear toward His everlasting love has only permitted the construction of these "dens" not actually for thieves or robbers who wake and go to bed daily but to steal and rob destinies of others and wouldn't sleep except they make someone fall, for one good reason. Now, Genesis 1:1 says, "When God began creating the heavens and earth...." So, the question is What was God doing before He began creating things, the eternal God who has no beginning or ending? June Reflexions titled The Satisfied Soul tells more on the goodness of life. Being good - living a good life makes satisfied. Doing good to others makes life joyous and fulfilling, brings also hope with satisfaction. Though the earth was created with some deficits caused by Lucifer turned devil, yet mankind has been charged with that singular honour and responsibility to replenish the earth by doing it good! Gen 1:28 says, "And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth." KJV
The work of replenishing straightaway is doing earth good or doing good to planet Earth to make it more habitable and leaving it better than we met it. Unfortunately this is against the spirit of riches and wealth acquisition. Anyone who aims at becoming rich would ordinarily "skip" replenish the earth order of the blessedness and move to dominating others! You see, that's the mistake - trying to dominate, domineer others isn't same as having dominion - state of being blessed!
Lord Jesus rebuke the young rich ruler in Luke 18:18-27 who thought he was already perfect in all his ways....at first, he addressed the Lord as "good" Master then asked, "How can I inherit eternal life?" In other words, he was through with inheriting the earth, had secured for himself and his generation a posterity, wealth that could never make them poor again, he wanted also to possess heaven. The young rich ruler was smart but unfortunately, he met a good Master who loved the earth. The Lord's reply will marvel you...
Not being satisfied can make life so boring, live unhappily and end unfulfilled. What makes a meal good is the satisfaction which of course, comes from God only. If anyone is possessed with an insatiable spirit, Proverbs 27:20 liken such to Hell and Destruction. Can you imagine that? Do you know what hell and what it looks like? Hell is not firstly the fires and dooms of the Last Day. No, hell means "grave" the place where dead are buried.
