011/365 KINGDOM FRESHNESS VIDEO

For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water. Jeremiah 2:13 KJV

God through His prophet, Jeremiah said His people have committed TWO evils:
1. They forsook Him the fountain of living waters
2. Built cisterns, broken containers that can't hold water

It could have been a different thing if it was said that the people left the fountain for river, maybe flowing rivers or even rain. But God said, they rather built cisterns, leaking containers

God word is likened to water - Isa 12:3, John 3:5, Eph 5:26 et al - the reason for water laver in the Tabernacle

Whereas the coming of God's word to anybody is as watercourses flowing downstream, the going of same is like fountain.

But for today, it's about fountain, the fountain of living waters which if well interpreted, it'd mean Jeremiah himself - a fountain for cleansing

Now, God also condemned their building of cisterns....

The emphasis today is more of "freshness" than water source - is the water fresh or not?

This now brings us to where we paused yesterday about those fathers, father-in-the-lord, godfathers - they made people abandoned God's word for their books

Should there even be any spiritual book besides the Bible? No!

Many sermons written since 1940 now dusted for 2025?? Who'll enjoy that kind of bread/food? Even last year bread, refrigerated?

Why are people being fed with stale meals, lacking freshness?

Another evil are these devotionals written a year or two before publication - targeted at gaining your mornings, making you ignore direct eating of God's holy bread

This is why the Bible at first may be boring, so you might wait till freshness breaks forth

Here, freshness is far more emphasized.

Lastly, these people built broken cisterns.
Every move of God, every water of God, every revival God brings need some containers, ditches, vessels, even cisterns to be contained by

But not broken cisterns!

An example of a broken cistern is building a church - a forbidden thing before God!

Many sent of God have turned God's revival into a building - its end.

Proverbs 13:13 Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed, but he that feareth the Commandment shall be rewarded . AKJV Another way to reading today's verse is to say, Whoso devotes himself to money shall be destroyed. This is because of what Luke 16:13 writes, " No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will hold to the one and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon" . The reason anyone would despise the word of God, maybe not to read or careful to observe what's therein is his love and devotion to money. Trust in the power of money and its ability to solve problems answering all things is actually what God calls poverty . Or say in 21st century terms, he has 666  code written on his forehead or right hand. See, the opposite of God is not the devil but money. Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. John 18:36 KJV Whilst the Lord answered every question but one that Pontus Pilate asked Him, He never did reply to Herod's allegations nor helped his understanding. The rationale behind this one unanswered question, "What is truth?", continues to thrill every lover of God's word. There was a huge silence in Pilate's courtroom as the Lord did say nothing.
