Creation Story
Let me use this time to say a bit more about the Creation story since yesterday was a Sunday:
Gen 2:9 "The Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground—trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil."
These two trees, tree of the knowledge of good and bad which also is Tree of Conscience and Tree of Life, were in the midst of the Garden of Eden and God gave specific instructions against the tree of Conscience leaving the other tree because it should not be first.
The Adams were to be tried, I mean God wanted to test the man and woman He had created to see what their performance would look like. They had been neutral beings. They weren't perfect beings as purported: "Would they eat from the tree of Life or be more attracted to the tree of Conscience?" "Would they ordinarily obey Him with the freedom to do whatever they liked?" "Would they pass the test of waiting to receive whatever was needful or not?" Etcetera
The two TREES were very important to them and to God. And would be consumed with time. "Conscience" as we all know is very necessary for interpersonal relationships, whereas "Life", is important for 'intrapersonal' relationship, I mean relating with God our Creator. Both trees had been planted for the benefit of mankind. One would have to precede the other, else everything was a waste! Life was to come before Conscience!
Man's conscience was awoke the moment they ate from that tree they were instructed against and instead, they became more aware of each other than God. Life then became a scarce commodity since they didn't eat from it at first. They lost their bearings, lost everything and how man fell yakata!
