LUNAR SUMMONS, APOSTLE CHRIST JESUS
Lunar Summons • Aud 42mins, 14mb
Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus, who was faithful to Him who appointed Him, as Moses also was faithful in all His house. HEB 3:1-2 NKJV
Two issues the Lord raises in this third ed, Lunar Summons - "holy brethren" and "heavenly calling" which are our profession. Not enough confessing a matter but equally important to step up to professing it, living by practice. Confession makes our heart willing and ready to act accordingly while profession brings perfection involving our movements in the direction of our confession.
Today at the full moon, we shall be examining JESUS CHRIST as an APOSTLE. It's our belief that by understanding the principle of apostleship, we'll be enabled to grasp the depth of gratitude for what God has done for us all the while, being filled with awe of who the Lord is.
Apostles which mean "Sent" are usually founders, stones, foundation for any new work God seeks to establish on earth among mankind. That was why Lord Jesus had 12 foundations, apostles for the new world He was called to start. The Lord founded the kingdom of God on the Twelve, in view of His coming kingdom from Heaven.
Apostles are usually stones which the builders reject, possibly because they're too hard, unyielding to the world's oppression, unbreakable, cannot be reduce, managed, not small and nor little, reinforced, unbendable, trimmed or forced. So builders in Ps 118:22 say, "Not good for building!" Soon they realize these stones are good, very good as cornerstone, foundation while other breakable bricks can form its wall.
While Apostles are tough people built for tough places, the bricks are readily received because they're more or less common, small, handy. A perfect example of this is story of the Tower of Babel in Gen 11:1-4 whose builders rejected the available stones and signed for baked bricks. Then they took also, slime instead of cement.
Imagine someone building a tower with saliva, slime, butimen and expecting it to last!?
This tells much about the nature of houses the wicked build, homes without foundation. All they do is "talk", "pray" and think everything will come to be by their effort of praying! Even if they prayed, were they which answered the prayers? And if there are no answers, would we have appreciated the efforts of saying "wasted" unacceptable prayers?
Now to the matter of the day, it says, Therefore, Holy brethren.... Get this audio piece downloaded for a listen and a full update on the matter - Apostle Christ Jesus.
