AUGUST REFLEXIONS - WISDOM
I will tell you about those who are truly wise [RHQ] with the result that they can explain why everything happens. Being wise enables people to be happy [MTY] and enables them to smile. You solemnly promised God that you would obey what the king commands, so do that. Do not quickly disobey the king. And do not join those who want to rebel against him, because the king will do what he wants to do. We need to obey what the king says more than we need to obey what anyone else says; no one can say to the king, “◄Why are you doing that?/You should not be doing that.► [RHQ]” If you obey what the king commands, he will not harm you. So be wise, and know the correct/right time to do things and the right way to do them. Although people experience many troubles/difficulties, there is a right/correct time to do things, and there is a right/correct way to do them. Ecclesiastes 8:1-6 TPT
Thank God for July's Reflexion, keeping and for helping us thus far. Last month's edition titled DAY OF BIRTH is only a preamble to this month's edition. A few points not mentioned are Ps 90:7-12 which says, Teach us to number our days that we may apply our hearts to wisdom. This simply tells us the reason to acknowledge the day of one's birth - to gain WISDOM. But can such wisdom be found amid noises and feasting? Unreasonably, there's no wisdom disturbing others just to gain their attention. More so, such disturbances often lead to same situations Job's children found themselves - cursing the Creator within their hearts.
Probably you haven't got my thought, if birthdays are marked and celebrated in other ways than the way stipulated in the Scripture, God is never praised even though His name is mentioned severely rolling on the floor. Job dreaded much what would befall him, that something would go wrong someday with his children and did confess it in Job 3:25 saying, For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me and that which I was afraid of is come unto me. One more thing left behind in the last publication is Ecclesiastes 7:10-12, all of which is a preamble to August RefleXion. For wisdom is a defense and money is a defense. But the excellency of knowledge is that wisdom gives life to those who have it. You'd think money's defense is crucial because you lack excellence in your knowledge, insufficient credit needed to finish that thought. But if thought deeply, you'll realize having wisdom is far better than using money because wisdom adds a crown of life to everyone who painstakingly goes through it to have their needs met while money shields from the pain. That's the excellence - the difference!
Now to this month's edition, Wisdom. Seven points have been highlighted in our reading from the book of Ecclesiastes chapter eight verses one through six which are termed wisdom and make a wise person, vis-a-vis
1. Seeking interpretation or understanding of a thing and matter to unravel it. Solves more than half of any challenges.
2. Living with beamed faces, full of hope and lit with boldness demonstrating calmness and tranquility
3. Keeping the King's commandments. Following the Constitution is only a common thing expected of everyone. Whereas, excellence makes us do extraordinary uncommon things. Yes, seek a higher ground. Don't settle for any less.
4. Never be hasty out of presence. It's wise to allow for due process, wait patiently, and not jump the protocol.
5. Eschewing evil deeds. Rather reprove/expose them disgracing them by living correctly, even undoing evil works.
6. Wisdom is power. Who would have thought Jesus Christ dying on the Cross was the wisdom of God? Yes, it is.
7. Discerning time and judgment. Knowing when and how to get things done. Read across translations available to you, you'll realize what wisdom is.
