KING'S KNOWLEDGE - 053/365

How can one claim, “We are wise, and the law of the Lord is with us”? Surely, it is in vain that such a statement is made; the pen of the scribes achieves nothing. The wise are left ashamed, dismayed, and ensnared, having rejected the word of the Lord—what wisdom can they truly possess? (Jeremiah 8:8-9, KJV).

Unbridled tongues often lead to division and breakaway movements within the faith. As stated in James 1:26, such behavior renders one's religion meaningless. Breaking away frequently occurs when lies are spread, truths are distorted, or words are misrepresented—this is the result of an unchecked tongue.

In the early days of the church, denominationalism was virtually nonexistent; the church operated as a unified entity, akin to the temple itself. However, in today's world, it seems that for every new idea, a new church is established. As James emphasizes, if your religion lacks control over your speech, it is ultimately useless.

Additionally, the knowledge of the Lord manifests in two forms: scientific and sacred.

Daniel 1:4 (KJV) tells us about young men who were ‘well favored and skillful in all wisdom,’ possessing understanding of science and the ability to stand before the king. Science and sacred knowledge can coexist harmoniously; however, this truth often eludes many religious leaders, primarily due to a lack of understanding.

If we embrace both realms of knowledge, we can deepen our faith and better serve our communities.
