TWO KINGDOM NOT'S - 038/365

Thus saith the LORD: "Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls." But they said, "We will not walk therein."

Also, I set watchmen over you, saying, "Hearken to the sound of the trumpet." But they said, "We will not hearken."

Therefore, hear, ye nations, and know, O congregation, what is among them. Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words, nor to my law, but have rejected it.

To what purpose cometh there to me incense from Sheba and the sweet cane from a far country? Your burnt offerings are not acceptable, nor your sacrifices sweet unto me.
Jeremiah 6:16-20 AKJV

This message is preached at the Crossroads. God watchfully waited and patiently followed the people until they reached this point, and then He said, "Stand!" Note that He didn't instruct them to go back, as the rebels did in Numbers 14:4, 44.

The first thing regarding conversion and repentance is the action of STANDING— the need to stand firmly and persistently. Consider Moses at the Sea of Reeds (Exodus 14:13), and how the Lord prayed for Peter (Luke 22:32). We are reminded in Ephesians 6:13-18 to wear the Whole Armor of God.

In every situation of sin or indiscipline, retreating is not a wise option. God told Jeremiah, "Don't ask where the good old days are" (Psalm 77:5, Ecclesiastes 7:10, Jeremiah 3:16).

God expects a diverse and capable leadership that can utilize the available resources to guide people toward their goals and progress.

The Crossroad is not a place to dwell on past deals but is instead a point to consider the way forward—the progressive path. The WAY FORWARD or ANCIENT PATHWAY is always shaped by one’s purpose and formation.

For example, what is Israel’s purpose or formation? It is salvation! Throughout history, we can see how Moses led them out of Egypt with a mighty hand, performing miracles through the supernatural power of God.

Now let me ask you solemnly: what is Nigeria’s formation? Unfortunately, no leader has ever clearly defined it. They often blame the amalgamation in 1914, yet they fail to realize that the problem was not merely about "being free." Since then, wars and internal unrest have persisted. Therefore, we must articulate our purpose before any real progress can be made in governance.

I recommend, as inspired by God, that two bodies be established to address this issue, to be active annually over a term of FOUR years:
1. Educational institutions to research lifestyle.
2. A National Conference, including NASS, to define cultural identity.

We should refine the outcomes to establish a clear definition and create six political parties, each well-defined and difficult to defect from. Only then will we find REST for our souls!

A purposeless and undefined life cannot be at rest. The only way to avoid "WASTEFUL" spending is to become rooted in and defined by one’s purpose.

Yours,
